Recording Midi CC (82) question

Hello ,

I have MIDI learned the Leslie Speed Parameter of a VSTi inside Cubase to a the leslie speed switch on my Clavia Nord Electro 2 , it sends CC82 . When playing the VSTi everything works as expected . When I record a MIDI part I get a ramp shape for CC82 (The switch on the keyboard is an On/Off switch ) , this does not sound the same ( it triggers the leslie break going from slow to fast etc) .

What setting (and where do I find it ) do I have to change ?

In Fender Studio the recording of CC82 works as expected , no ramp but On/Off . Thank you very much in advance ! Cheers

Hi,

If you record the MIDI data, you record the plain data, which have been sent from the hardware source. You can verify the source data in the MIDI Insert > MIDI Monitor.

If you want to capture what is transferred to the VSTi use rather the automation Write, to automate the destination parameter.

In the Controller Lane Setup, try changing Type of New Controller Events from Ramp to Step.
