Recording MIDI, part beginning at start of project, not cursor

Suddenly, whenever I start recording MIDI, the MIDI part always begins at the very start of the project, not at the cursor where I want to begin recording.

I presume I must have accidentally enabled an option somewhere, but I can’t find it, does anyone have any idea what it is?

Hi,

Make sure the Preferences > Record > MIDI > Snap MIDI Parts to Bars option is disabled, if you want to start the MIDI Part at the place, where you had the cursor before the start recording. By default, this option is enabled.

Hi Martin, thanks for the reply.

I checked that, and it didn’t make a difference if it was on or off. It was very odd, as soon as I pressed record an empty MIDI part would be created from the beginning of the project, sometimes hundreds of bars.

In the end I reset preferences, which has fixed it.
