I discovered that you can record a chord of your own into a chord pad by right-clicking. It worked once, then didn’t ‘t work again. It seems to be a bug. Right-click (am on a Mac) works fine elsewhere in Cubase.)

Select a MIDI or an Instrument Track to be able to route the MIDI data through the track. On the Chord Pads, enable the Assign from MIDI Input option. Play the chord.

Thank you so much.I just found this myself after a lot of trial and error. The old method of arming a Chord Pad using right-click no longer works.
