Recording output of Code Track

I have a code track with another track configure for auditioning.

I want to be able to record the code track’s output on another track as MIDI.

The obvious track for me would be to set the track that is configured for auditioning into record mode then start record on it, however it seems that does not work.

Can somebody tell me how to construct a track which will receive the actual MIDI information as set by the code track.

I guess it might be some kind of track routing solution, but I am fairly new to Cubase.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean midi timecode track? If you do then you need a converter. If not then I don’t know what you mean

No, sorry for my spelling mistake, I meant chord track like C7, G, Dm

First you don’t even need to Record them. You can just Select the Chord Events and drag them onto an Instrument Track and it will create corresponding MIDI Parts for each Chord. I’ll typically glue them together to create larger Parts for verse, chorus, etc.
