Rectify first bar layout

How do I not have the first bar stretch across two pages like it has?

You have a system break on the last beat of the 1st bar. (I didn’t know you could do that.)

It you go to the menu: View → Sign Posts → System Breaks and select it, the sign post becomes visible. Select it and press delete/backspace.

There is a setting in Prefs related to if you want to allow system breaks within a bar or not. With it checked you do not cause a split in the bar.
