Red Bar Line Keeps Coming Back

I get this when I use what I think is called System Track at the top to delete bars. I selected two bars and hit the trash can. The bars are still there but I got the red line.

  1. What am I doing wrong.
  2. How do I get rid of the red thing when it shows up?

Thanks.

I think that’s an Insert mode stop position, to delete them see here

Thanks. The manual said to delete it in System Track. I do not see that option when I click or right click.

  1. Select an item at the rhythmic position of the Insert mode stop position and press Shift-Alt/Opt-I*. <*This worked.
  2. In the system track, click Set Edit Stop Position image above existing stop positions. <I don’t know what this means. I don’t see that.

Anyway, #1 worked. Thank you.

If you select the corresponding bar in the system track, the stop sign appears. By clicking on it, you can create and remove the stop position, respectively.

You can also grab the top of the red stop bar with the mouse and drag it out of the system to remove it.

You can also grab the top of the bar and click-drag it off the page (the bar turns to red dots) if you prefer the mouse method.

Thank you. I didn’t know that red thing was a stop sign. I thought it was a minus sign to delete a bar.
