Red circle next to audio files in Media Bay

I’m trying to access some audio files in the Media Bay, but they have a red circle next to them, and won’t play:

I double checked in the Library Manager to make sure that those sounds are installed, and they are:

I also made sure that that .vstsound file exists in the reference location, and it does.

It is odd that that “Ambient Lounge” file that’s giving me trouble is the only one of the factory preset packs that’s not in the “Content” subdirectory like the others, but since Media Bay can “see” the contents of the .vstsound file, it seems like it can access it, so that shouldn’t be an issue - or is it?

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Is it a recent issue or do you have just installed it ? I ask this, because the “red circles” often appear when there is a licence issue, and the “Ambient lounge” library isn’t listed in the SDA Cubase 13 Pro category. From which, an added licence is needed to use it.

I installed it a long time ago, but just now discovered the red circle.

But thanks for mentioning that it’s a licensing issue, that will point me in the right direction, and I’ll report back what I find!

FWIW, i have an added Steinberg library not listed in the SDA Cubase 13 Pro category, the Amped Elektra. It appears this way in SAM (Steinberg Activation Manager) :

Worth a check, maybe.

Ambient Lounge is a paid product that must be activated in the Activation Manager.

Thanks all.

I don’t know how Ambient Lounge ended up installed (since I never bought it), but now that I know all this, I’ll just get rid of it from my system. No need for it to eat up disk space.

Got the same situation, anybody knows how to fix it?

Ambient Lounge is part of cubase pro, i’ve had it since I got in the cubase game on Cubase Pro 9.5. Now all of a sudden that damn red line.

According to the Download Assistant and the product information Ambient Lounge is a separate product, not included in Cubase. So it probably needs its own license to be intact. Check the eLicenser (for old versions) or the Activation Manager (for new versions) if the license shows up there.

Solved my dude, thanks.
