Redistribute load from Asio- Guard to Real Time processing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhkIZp7ttfw

Hi, I haven’t noticed this before, but when I click on different channels, part of the load from ASIO Guard shifts to real-time processing. I currently have a pretty loaded project and am working with audio files that load ASIO Guard the most. I have to click on instrumental tracks or Kontakt to offload some of the load, to real time, only then Cubase stop clipping.
Is there any possibility to manually redistribute some of the load to real-time processing so that it doesn’t load ASIO Guard?

Also, can you please tell me how much an additional 32GB of RAM would help, in addition to the 32GB I already have installed? Will this offload ASIO Guard, or is the processor mainly involved here?
Thanks

Hi,

It’s a workaround, but if you enable Record or Monitor, the given track becomes processed in real time. So the way could be to enable one of these in the tracks, you want to avoid the ASIO Guard.

Yes but when i hit record or monitor, the track itself stops to play audio.

Hi,

Are you talking about an Audio or an Instrument Tracks?

Of it’s an Audio Track, enable Record and keep Monitor disabled, please.

Oh, i see it now. Jesus, that’s awesome. Is there a way to do this in a more ‘correct’ manner? Anyway, thanks a lot!
