How do I reduce the reverb in playback for certain instruments? In my big band score the saxophone section plays back clean and clear while the trumpets and trombones sound like a wash of reverb. I looked in the Play section and turned off reverb in the “Live Space” function. I selected “Remove Effects Channel”. I’m still getting lots of reverb in the brass instruments. Someone said something about removing “Reverbance”(?) in the FX channel. I’ve poked around and couldn’t find anything like that.
The first thing I’d do is reapply whichever playback template you using. That will give you a clean slate. Then, in the mixer (F3), or in play mode making sure you enlarge the bottom frame enough to reveal the entire channel strip, click the “Sends” button. I know it doesn’t actually look like a button, but it is and when clicked, exposes the send-level slider. You can increase or reduce reverb there.
Great, thank you!
