I’ve found similar threads on this from 2018, but I’m wondering if there has been any development since then. I’ve successfully added a solo violin staff on top of a piano accompaniment and reduced the violin staff size for readability. This affects the size of basically everything that a pianist needs to know at a glance (e.g. tempo changes, rehearsal marks, repeat endings). Is there an efficient way to avoid this, which does not include manual rescaling of everything? I imagine, for example, a way to automatically duplicate the repeat endings and tempo changes to the piano staff in the normal size, and then hide them from the violin staff.
The downside is that system objects will be duplicated, because they cannot be switched off for the top stave. (I do wish that would be possible some day!)
Thanks! This is very helpful. I’m curious now about the “Show system objects above first soloist” that is unchecked. Almost seems like I could have the violin be a “first soloist” in this case, but I guess this function is integrated with divisi passages or so?
It could be linked with the Is soloist thing in the player’s menu.
I wonder if a player on top with a 0-line staff (full size) could solve the problem with the size of that top player…
I admit I’m still waiting for the Team to implement those 0-line staves properly.
