Hi, I read somewhere, (can’t remember where, sorry) that someone with CB12 caused CB11 to not recognize VST2 instruments anymore, is this correct please? just thinking if I download the trial when it’s available will I have the same problem…

Nope.
Cubase 11 is not changed in any way by installing Cubase 12.
Cubase 12 has VST2 support except in the (new to Cubase 12) native Apple Silicon mode.
