Hi,
I have a file with about 40 generic markers dropped in, alternating at the beginning and end of each song. Is there a way to convert the marker type to regions and have Wavelab (12 Pro) alternate between region start and end markers when converting? Or a different way to handle this?

There is a function to convert marker types (in the marker tool window). But this won’t allow you to alternate region start and end. From the same tool window you can also click on the marker icon to convert it to another one.
But the fastest way for your case is the following one: Double click inside the region, then press R. Do this do this for all regions. This should be fast.
Then from the marker tool window use the functions to erase all marker types.
No, if your marker already have names, the first mentionned method should be better.

Is there a way to have WL drop region markers from the record window with a shortcut (not by clicking)? I use a pedal via MIDI to drop markers while recording.
Great! But can it alternate region start and end markers? Doesn’t appear so.
