Regular midi tracks To an instrumental trek

Just an experiment My Audio modeling SWAM solo instruments are added to my project when I use an instrumental track. Let’s say in this case I’m using a Swam Flute

In my score already there is a regular 1 midi track for my woodwinds

Since the SWAM flute was created in the project with an instrumental check can I get the flute to read the regular woodwind midi track as it substitute using my yamaha genos or midi keyboard? I am interested in having the midi Notes played but by the SWAM instrument. so don’t have to replay it on another wind controller reading The notes off of the new score editor.

Hi,

Yes.

You can either fresh and drop the MIDI Part(s) from the MIDI Track over to the Instrument track, or you can set the Output of the MIDI Track to the Instrument Track.

Martin, , thanks for getting back

When I copy and paste from the regular midi track in my case the woodwinds and drag it over to the instrumental track of the SWAM instrumental track I play it back there’s no output sound I know my audio connections are correct I tried Matching the channels but that didn’t help either- I still must be missing something.

OK I got the sound to play for the SWAM flute but the half notes are getting chopped off- it seems like certain notes are not sustaining Is there any correction for this

In other words where a half notice is this process is playing them as quartet Notes
not sustaing their true value

Hi,

Ensure, the MIDI Notes are in the correct octave for the given instrument, please.

They are They’re absolutely in the range of the instrument You could have a “D”
half note that gets cut off and then the same “D” quarter notes that play out correctly

1/4’s and eighth notes work fine 1/2 notes get cut off to a shorter sustained value.

Here is one of the solutions. Look at this SWAM screen capture. In order to get all of the notes played with their proper values, in our discussion, you have to TURN off "The Wind Controller Release Mode on the SWAM Advanced GUI Screen.

Next issue is to get a few more SWAM woodwinds to use the same midi data to have them play as an ensemble in unison. I shall return.

.

Hi,

If it depends on the MIDI Note length, then it looks like the sample is not long enough and there is not a loop on over the Sustain area of the sample.

Please review the photo I submitted it corrects the problem

Hi,

You can use MIDI Sends to send one MIDI data to multiple MIDI destinations, if this is what you are searching for.
