Rehearsal Letters without Boxes?

I’m transcribing Schumann’s Fantasiestück and I would like to put a rehearsal letter in such as this one:

I am only able to create one with a box, which seems odd for a cello and piano piece. How can I turn this off?

Engraving Options—Rehearsal Marks—Enclosure.

I don’t see it… Notation Options? FYI I have Elements.

Always good to make that known up front.
Notation Options (although I see it in the Library menu) does not appear to be available to Elements users.

EDIT: Apparently Notation Options is available in Elements.

I actually can use it

As @dan_kreider told you the rehearsal mark enclosure is an Engraving Option (which is not available on Elements).

Ok. I will just use system text I guess :man_shrugging:

A bit off the first question of this topic but if you ever don’t want to invest in the pro version.
There is 50% on affinity program and also win time:
As I had 5 minutes: just downloaded the xml from musescore and opened in Dorico, put a rehearsal Mark save as pdf and opened in affinity and:
affinity

Notation Options and Playback Options are included in Dorico Elements, as of Dorico 5.

Not quite sure what affinity is…?
Well, I can just use text if I need to.

If you don’t mind posting your Project file. Someone with Pro can set the Engraving Option for you.

Okay. I should be able to edit it afterwards, right?

Yes, no problem. The setting will stick, you just can’t modify it with Elements.
