Rehearsal Marker auto update?

I’ve scoured the operator manual and here on the forum.

The first bar I selected a rehearsal Mark as number, index 1.

Is there a way to add a rehearsal mark that automatically update to 2, 3, 4…etc?

If you want numbers in general, set them at Library > Engraving Options > Rehearsal Marks, not in the properties panel.

This is a general rule of thumb in Dorico: if what you’re altering in the properties panel has a switch, that switch overrides some sort of global setting, typically in Engraving Options or Layout Options (or occasionally Notation Options). It’s generally quicker in the long term to adjust the defaults than to locally override them repeatedly.

Are you adding a rehearsal mark with shift-A? Those rehearsal marks definitely increment.

aaaah i get it now. Set the Engraving options first for numbers, then Shift-A .

Works as expected :grinning:

Another item on my list learned. :ok_hand:
