So, in the score I’m currently working on, I want to include a rehearsal mark where it just so happens to be the end of an ossia mark (the orchestrator wants an added piccolo for just two measures - one of the flute players would double). The highlighted area is where the rehearsal mark should be, and it already exists above the string section. It was where I wanted it to be before adding the ossia; when the ossia added, the marking disappears from the top of the score but not above the strings.
I have already tried doing Layout Options>Staves and Systems>Ossias and Extra Staves>Position of system objects relative to ossia above staff and selected “Outside ossia”. Even so, the rehearsal mark that’s supposed to be there disappears completely; there’s no inside or outside for it to position. What can I do to make that rehearsal mark reappear?
Hmm, could you supply the file or part of it? You can pm me if you prefer. What if you enter the mark a beat late, and move it in Engrave mode? You can add it in Note input mode at the cursor position.
I’m back now that we’re between holidays. Hope you and yours are doing well.
So, in the current working version I have the ossia extended as you suggested, pictured here. I’m trying to attach the project but it is too big to send on the forums, even when I isolate just those few measures (the forums’ limit for attachments is 4 MB, the project is north of 6 MB).
Moot issue now as we’ll be going in another direction, but if I need an ossia to behave like this again in the future (and knowing me, I probably will), I know how to approach it. Thank you for your help, jesele!
