Rehearsal marks with giant boxes

Hi there. Hopefully a simple question to answer.

Recently, my rehearsal marks now appear in giant boxes which are totally unnecessary. What is going wrong please?

Perhaps you changed some Font Style setting? in Library→Paragraph Styles→Rehearsal Marks, or Or changed settings under Library→Engraving Options→Rehearsal Marks→Enclosure?

Thanks so much Jesper. I’ve managed to get it looking better but have had to adjust the engraving settings quite a bit.

I’ve attached a screenshot of my settings, incase this helps anyone else.

It could be a font issue also. You can also try with no enclosure and use the paragraph style border instead.

Couldn’t you just hit the Reset to Factory button?

Also, what font is selected in Library > Paragraph Styles… > Rehearsal Marks?
Using Bravura (instead of, perhaps, Bravura Text) will cause the situation you have.

That’s it Steven!!

My font had defaulted to Bravura. I’ve no idea why as I don’t remember changing any font settings at any stage.

I changed to Bravura Text and the rehearsal marks snapped back to perfectly square.

Thanks to all who helped me here. The community here is really excellent.
