Dear Steinberg Team,
I am writing to request a feature improvement for Cubase 15 regarding the Score Editor.
My workflow often involves arranging and generating scores for multiple songs for the same orchestra within a single Cubase session. To do this, I create a separate MIDI channel for each song and place them sequentially on the timeline.
In Cubase 12, the classic Score Editor included a “Bar Number Offset” option. This feature was perfect for my workflow because it allowed me to reset the bar numbering to measure 1 for each individual score without affecting the global bar count of the entire project.
As I recently upgraded to Cubase 15, I noticed this option is no longer available in the new Score Editor. The suggested alternative—adjusting the Time Offset in the Project Setup—does not solve my issue, as it changes the global bar numbering for the entire project, making it impossible to have independent bar numbering for each song in a multi-song session.
I kindly request that you consider reintroducing the “Bar Number Offset” feature or providing an equivalent alternative that allows for independent bar numbering per score within the same project. This functionality is highly valuable for composers and arrangers.
On the other hand, I would like to know how I can manage to combine harmonic rhythm (stemmed pulses) with stemless pulses within the same measure. Because although I have managed to do it by choosing different voices for each type of writing, it has only worked across different measures.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Ramiro from Mexico
