Relative Time Display In Montage Clip?

Hi,

So in a montage you have a time display that goes across the entire montage.

Is there a way to make the display be relative to the beginning of each clip? ie. start at zero from the beginning of each clip?

TIA,

—JC

Yes, right click in the Timecode window and you’ll see a lot of options to change the Timecode display. Clip Start. Track Start, etc.

You can also activate the clip local time ruler.

Yes, also a great feature.

Where is that?

It’s kind of hiding in the View Ribbon Tab of the Audio Montage:

HOLY poopies!

I’ve been looking for that for like 15 years!

!!!THANK YOU!!!

No problem, it’s good that PG mentioned it instead. I didn’t fully understand your first post because you can make the Timecode window display different things which is what I normally do, but this feature is handy sometimes too. I should check if there is a shortcut to toggle it on or off for a clip.

It is -very- good that PG mentioned it. However, you got the ball rolling.

It would be sprinkles on top if there was a key command to toggle, but for what -I- do, I’d be just as happy if it were ‘on’ all the time.

Thanks again. I wasn’t exaggerating. This is 'uge… as the kids say now.

There is even a 3rd possibility, see picture:

That’s a good idea. I note it.

You’re amazing.
