Argh just had my computer blue screen on me.
Just puff out of the blue.
Rebooting nothing happens, rebooting again, now Windows starts to repair.
I hear a very distinct and well known sound cliiiiiuk cliiiuk, HD crash it goes on for a few hours but no boot.
Pull the hard drive, and system boots, my sample drive is dead, only 2TB of mainly sample library that I have to download again.
Guess what, everything else is backed up but not the sample drive.
Sorry to hear of your issues but, thanks for the reminder.
Good luck.
Regards
No more Seagate Barracuda drives for me, or WD or Hitachi for that matter.
I buy WD Gold enterprise class drives. They are designed to run 24/7 and are designed to last.

Yes it really depends on the model, i know.
I have had too many seagate barracudas die on me.
Yet I have had a 1TB drive of them running since 2008, 24/7 and it still works perfectly well.
