Remember to restart Cubase 14 after you first install it

Just installed Cubase 14 this afternoon (I am on MacOS Monterey). After reading some of the forum posts, I knew I needed to enable VST2 to see all the plugins to let old project running well. Opened Cubase 14 in Rosetta mode and right after bat I went enabled VST 2.4. For some reason, when I opened my old project with Guitar Rig 6 (its VST 3) all the plugins settings was gone… Then, I restart Cubase 14 and everything comes back!

I would like to remind everyone make sure you completely close Cubase 14 ONCE after you first install it. A lot of settings only save when Cubase exit (e.g. Presets / Control Room / Key command etc.).

There’s still some minor issues carried over from Cubase 13. I will report it on another post. (key command clashing between Shift and Shift + control on Mac)

All in all, Cubase 14 is a very stable release compare to past few first release (Cubase 12, 13). Highly recommend Cubase 13 users go update it now!

Well done Steinberg! :fire:
