Remembering my friend

Today I’m remembering my musical partner and best friend Stephen R King. We recorded all the songs on this album using Cubase Studio 4. The drums in my basement, the rest in my spare bedroom.

I met Steve King at the Pub restaurant in Keene New Hampshire around 1969. Back then the Pub restaurant was a college hotspot on the weekends. I was bartending, and Steve was playing in a band with the Samson brothers, from Rhode Island. The band was terrific but Steve really stood out. I had never seen anyone play the guitar the way he did. He was using a quarter for pick and he was also wearing metal finger picks on his middle and ring fingers. A few months later our paths crossed again and we formed the band “Fidgety Feet”. I feel lucky to have spent endless hours on the road, on stage, and in home-made studios with Steve. Steve was known for his guitar but he loved arranging as much as playing and he was a master of every genre. Once again it’s Lou Trombley on drums and Steve on everything else. Thank you Steve for all the beautiful music. RIP.
