Remote via iPad

Hi! Is There Any chance To start Songs From an ipad or similar? We have a lot of pyrotechnics on stage and I would Like to have My MacBook beside the stage

Hi! Yes! Download VSTLive Mods iPad app.
Please not, developers are working on the fix, currently the song selection/start has some bug. But at least you can try out how it will work

Any News When it’ll be fixed?

We are waiting since december 2024, perhaps for christmas.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Use a bluetooth footswitch or the like, or a MIDI footswitch. I have an Morningstar Engineering MC6 PRO that I integrated with VST Live, and it works very well to start/stop songs, pause songs, go forward, backward, etc… It’s quite nice, but a simple bluetooth, or even wired, footswitch should do the job if you can set it to send a spacebar keystroke for example.

And how do you monitor? Because i guess you won’t see your screen from the distance

If you’re talking about monitoring the play/stop state of VST Live, the MC6 PRO can send and receive midi, so you can set up the LCD screens to tell you the state of the program. For example, I can press play on VST Live, and the MC6 PRO screen will update the respective play/stop footswitch’s LCD screen to “stop” (since the song is playing), or when I press the footswitch I assigned to “play”, VST Live starts playing and the LCD of the same footswitch changes to “stop” so that if I hit it again, it sends a midi note to VST Live to stop playing back and return to zero. The two talk to each other. Feels very nice and the implementation is rock solid, and you can use a simple USB C cable to send all the MIDI data back and forth and to power the MC6 PRO with it too (Wow!)

And I just did a quick search and it looks like the MC6 PRO can even display MTC. I am going to try to see if I can get it to display MTC from VST Live, so you’d have the ability to “see” the play head moving I think. Wow. Awesome!
