HI,
I deleted the VST instruments registered to the e-Licenser and removed the e-Licenser USB key from my PC, but Cubase Pro 13 still requires the e-Licenser and asks where it is.
How can I completely get rid of the e-Licenser warning from Cubase?

Hi,
did you also uninstall the eLicenserControlCenter software?
Maybe I’m misunderstanding.
I have transferred all of the sound sources and other items that use the e-Licenser in Stanberg to iLoK and have confirmed that they can all be used on Cubase, but is it possible that I should not uninstall the e-Licenser software?
I’ll ask Steinberg. Thank you.
Cubase 13 will keep asking for elicenser every time you update something/install it via Steinberg Download assistant from what I remember at that time. Also when uninstalled at certain times I got Cubase asking for elicenser even if I didnt have any software with the protection installed. I guess it is inside the code somewhere. it goes away if you upgrade Cubase to v15 for sure.
It shouldn’t do that any more. There’s an option in SDA now confusingly called something like don’t install support runtimes which will stop elicenser being installed and Cubase 12 and up should have no need for elicenser.
It should be fine to uninstall it…… maybe you’ve missed removing a trace of something that still needs it.
What did you move from eLicenser to iLok? I’ve never heard that it is possible to change licenses from the eLicenser to iLok.
What does the list of products in your mySteinberg profile show? What products are listed there and are they all “Upgraded to Steinberg Licenseing”?
Cool, haven’t seen that option before. It is called “Optional Runtime Components”
