Seems like when I mess with the barlines, a redundant red tempo marking is made (it’s a system object I think?). Selecting it and clicking delete does not remove it; is there another way to get rid of the marking? Been fiddling with it for a while with no luck. I’m currently using Dorico SE 3.5.
Try deleting the barline that immediately precedes it. The red signpost is telling you that the barline is non-standard.
