When you make a selection with the Object Selection Tool, a white highlighted section appears. Is there any way to remove that by clicking within that selection as opposed to having to click outside of that selection?
Furthermore, is there a way with a modifier for the Object Selection tool to appear within that highlighted selection so as to deselect for example automation points that you didn’t want selected?
I don’t think that there is a possibility to deselect with clicking inside the selected area. If you really don’t want to click, you could switch to the range selection tool and back with a key command, that does deselect all automation points.
Deselecting single automation points is done with shift-click.
It can only be cleared by clicking outside of it or by using the Select None command. I’ve assigned Select None (default Ctrl+Shift+A) to the Esc key and that works well for me.
