In this bit, I have a a few measures of an organ right hand as a cue, but I only need to show the top line. Is there a way to remove these within Dorico? (Not looking for an outbound kludge to illustrator or affinity.) The individual notes are selectable in engrave but there is no "Hide note’ property available.
Cues can only display exactly what’s in the source staff – subject to the omissions set in Engraving Options > Cues, of course. There isn’t a setting for omitting a voice.
The workaround would be to copy the notes in and make them cue-size manually.
Or, set up a staff used exclusively for cues and hide it in the score layout.
My xml imports all come in with a non-displaying track with various other cues and text notes to myself in them. I combined the above two responses and killed one bird with two stones.
