Remove unused files audio from hd

Using Cubase 7 I used a lot of a function that allowed me to reorder the files in the project audio folder by deleting unused files in any project in the hard disk. I no longer find this feature in later versions. How can I remove superfluous files from the hard disk without losing days to look for which ones are used and which are not?

I don’t think it has changed all that much.
Is this not what you are looking for?

I guess you are talking about the old “Clean Up” function… found under the File menu.
IMHO this was a great function, which were abandoned after Cubase 9.0… Why? Don’t ask me.

PS. I have Cubase 9.0 installed just to use this function… and yes it still works across all versions of Cubase…
If you gonna try this… PLEASE backup first

What is the difference between the old Cleanup function ans ‘remove unused media’?

The clean function scans all the project files (in a folder IIRC) and finds unused files. ‘Remove unused media’ is only for a project file.
