Coming from Finale and my apologies if this has already been asked:
I am trying to remove the #1 above the single measure rest in the individual parts. Using Dorico Pro 5. I’ve done a search and a lot of the answers seem to be older versions of Dorico, so wondering if there’s a solution for Dorico 5 that I’m missing.

It’s in Engraving Options (which means the entire document, including parts, scores and flows, will be affected). It is to be found in the “Rests” section

Nevermind. I found it.
I, too, am trying to get a plain whole rest rather than a horizontal bar with a 1 over it. (Time signature is 3/4, but this shouldn’t matter.) I select “No bar count” as in the middle of Claude’s screenshot, and “Apply,” but nothing changes.
Do you also have the first setting set to “Show bar rest”? If you have it set to “Show H-bar”, then you’ll get an H-bar with a 1 over it, regardless of the second setting.
