Removing Cubase 5 off a Cubase 5 and 6 PC

I’ve been running Cubase 5 and Cubase 6 concurrently on the same Windows 7 64 bit PC since Cubase 6 came out. I have now uninstalled Cubase 5 (both 32 and 64 bit versions) and the program has gone except for the installed plug ins and some other gubbins. Is it safe to copy the old VSTplugins directory into the Cubase 6 ones?

Your main default plugins folder should be in the Steinberg folder but not within the Cubase folder.

Unless you have specifically noticed missing plugs in C6 then I would just delete it…or certainly don’t allow anything to overwrite if you do decide to copy over.

Just add it to Plugin Info-VST2.x Paths and re-start Cubase.
