Hello.
My Cubase Pro trial is ending in a few days and I plan on purchasing Cubase Artist 14. What is the best method for removing/uninstalling the Pro trial from my Windows 11 computer? And should I uninstall Pro trial before or after installing Artist?
I appreciate any advice, thank you!
Hi and welcome to the forum,
You don’t have to uninstall the application. Since Cubase 14, all editions share the same executable. So you can keep your Cubase installed. Once you get Cubase Artits license (and you Cubase Pro license expire), Cubase Artist will start.
Thank you, and thanks for the reply. But if I don’t uninstall the Pro trial won’t there be components/files left on my computer that I can no longer use if I have an Artist license and not Pro?
If you installed all soundpacks you might find some unlicensed but can uninstall them without uninstalling Cubase itself.
The cubase installer is the same for all versions and license hides/shows the available features.
I did install all of the instruments and probably all of the sound packs for the Pro trial. Hopefully there will be some indication of what is installed but that I can’t use with Artist after the trial. Thank you for the info!
