Removing Stubborn Rests

How can I remove the rests from bar 16 in flow 2. No matter how I try to delete them when I get to removing the last remaining one they all re-appear -

I’ve even tried turning them into notes and back into rests. But nothing works, indeed here Dorico insists on a rest pattern of one crotchet, three quavers (triplet) and a minim. (If I turn it into a note I can only extend it to a mimin, not a semibreve)

One way:

  1. Select the triplet bracket at the bottom and delete
  2. Select the quarter (now half) rest at the left and do Edit > Remove Rests
  3. Select the tiny triplet bracket and the half rest at top and delete

Thank you so much. That certainly does it. I had not thought of using a mix of two operations (“delete” and “remove rests”) which I guess is the key to solving this kind of problem.
