Removing the ability to drag tracks into folder tracks in Nuendo 15 is a serious step backwards

Hi Steinberg,

I’ve been using Nuendo for many years and have always been able to create a folder track and simply drag my audio, MIDI, or instrument tracks directly into it. This was fast, intuitive, and the most natural way to organize large projects.

In Nuendo 15, this basic functionality has been removed. I can no longer drag tracks onto a folder track. The only method now is to select the tracks, right-click, and choose “Move Selected Tracks into Folder.” This is much slower and breaks a workflow that has worked perfectly for over a decade.

This change makes no sense from a user-experience standpoint. Organizing tracks with folders is one of the most basic and frequently used functions in any DAW. Taking away the drag-and-drop method for something this fundamental feels like a step backwards, not an improvement.

Please restor the ability to drag tracks directly into folder tracks in the next update. This single change has made working in Nuendo 15 noticeably more frustrating.

Still working on my install of 15.0.20.

No. Simply not true.
Did you try it? If yes, it must be a different problem.
