Oh ya, I see that, my bad. So editing the file I did is just for the add menu.
You would think you would be able to set an alias and a default track name in the plugin manager. For Groove Agent I would probably make it Drums(#), then it would auto-number it (If there’s an existing Drums 1, then it would name the new one Drums 2, etc.). This is pretty obvious stuff but I guess not.
So now we have to hack into hidden xml files ?
To do a simple thing we’ve been asking for years ??
I’m not buying new upgrades until these basic things are fixed.

Well done. If more people would stick up for themselves and take a stand for the reasonable requests, companies would be forced to do what is right. The free market needs to have its teeth and punish the hubris of computer programmers.
Yes… This was how I remembered it. Still the same then.
This is one of the reasons I’m still on Cubase 12. None of the new versions really fix basic usability or workflow issues, so no need.
I understand they need “new” features to entice new users but some of the most basic, decade old workflow requests are still outstanding.
