Am I crazy or is there a way to select multiple tracks and then “rename” them somehow? I thought I saw this somewhere but cannot find a way or command. I already know about the TAB shortcut.

It’s possible with the project logical editor in the edit menu. Take a look at the preset “Naming - add a date to selected MIDI + Audio Tracks”. That gives you the idea.
Thanks for the post. I’ll check out the Logical editor preset. I think I was thinking of “Rename Objects” window. But I could have sworn I saw Greg Ondo show a rename tracks window at some point.
