Is there a way to render the clip fx only and let the track and or master fx still be active?
Unless I’m misremembering, creating a super clip from a single clip will render it with the clip fx only, put it in place, and free up the fx processing, if that’s what you want to do. And you can go back and change something about the clip fx afterward if you need to and render again, if I remember correctly.
