"Render In Place" and "Time Base"

Hi all,
I am rendering in place and always get the created tracks in Musical Time Base.
I have already selected on Preferences → Editing → Default Track Time Type → Time Linear option but is not working upon rendering.
Any ideas?

Can you please check whether the newly created track uses the same time base as the track that you rendered from? Ie. original track was set to linear, new track is set to linear as well.

Ok, the midi track I rendered from was indeed in musical mode.
I toggled the mode and now it renders to linear.
So it is following the source track as you say!
