I’m wondering why the line of the 1st repeat segment doesn’t continue over the (automatic) system break while the 2nd line does. Should it look like that? I’d prefer the 1st line to continue as well.

I know - because the are hidden staves in the score … so maybe in Dorico 3 
I can draw the missing line in an PDF editor for now.
There is a long-standing problem with system-attached items where the top staff changes in the middle of the item; this problem affects gradual tempos, for example, as well as repeat ending lines. It’s certainly on our backlog to be fixed, but it’s quite a complicated problem to resolve.
