Repeated accidentals and noteheads separated

Where do find the setting which causes the sharp sign to be repeated and the note heads to be separated?

Unfortunately, you’ll have to hide them manually.

It has been a feature request (that I support!) for quite a while.

Separate voice unisons with accidentals

Welcome to the forum, @dbo88! I completely agree! It’s really easy to forget some of them when there are many and you have to do it manually, as it’s still the case for now. I realise there aren’t examples of published scores in this thread, so just in case I’m posting a few that show that single accidental (at least in piano music) is the standard practice: Examples

This will work for the half notes, in Notation Options > Voices:

I don’t think you can get the whole note to merge with the quarter note, because it would just look like a single upstem half note.

Unfortunately – AFAIK – there is no setting to hide the accidental in the second voice automatically.

I highly recommend to assign a keyboard shortcut to this command

it cycles through

• Hide accidental
• Show accidental
• Show accidental in parentheses
• Show accidental in square brackets
