Repeated time signature

Simple question: I’ve got a 3/4 bar followed by a 4/4 bar. I decided to lop off the last quarter of the 4/4 bar. (It’s a rest for all instruments.) I did this by changing it to a 3/4 bar, which pushed the quarter rest to a 1/4 bar, which I deleted with Shift + B -1. However, the 3/4 time change remains for two consecutive measures.

How do I clean that up? I was sure I’d done almost exactly the same thing on a test project a few days ago and it worked fine. I don’t know what to search for in the manual.

To restate the problem simply, I have a 3/4 time signature “change” in two measures in a row. How do I get rid of the second one?

Select it and hit delete

Good grief. I remember now that I had this question once before. Someone told me and also asked me why I didn’t think to select it and hit Delete. I have no idea. Sheer stupidity?

Note to self: Internalize that one.
