I have a scanned in score that has “small notes” for the second verse. This scanned in as a second voice. I’m trying to move the second voice into the first voice, but it just keeps adding it to the first voice–making chords. I want to just replace voice one with voice two–not add it in. Is there a way to do this? Or do I have to go in and manually delete voice one, then move those notes from voice two to voice one? In Finale-speak, you could say “move voice 2 to voice 1” and it would overwrite them. The only things I’ve seen on forums about this date back to 2016 and 2017. Hoping there’s been some progress I can’t find somewhere in 10 years? 
Paste Special > Paste into voice > Upstem Voice 1 will overwrite the existing voice 1.
So in your case, you can select the voice 2, Ctrl/Cmd X, and then paste it in voice 1.
