This is a re-started thread from my previous ‘failing sound card’ post. Anyone who wants to read the full background story is welcome to read that thread if you’ve got the patience and the staying power! The bottom line is that I’m running Cubase 5.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate, and I need to replace my Tascam US-122mk.II interface with something as near identical as possible, but ideally new rather than used ( unless by some miracle anyone knows of a way that I can buy a new Tascam US-122mk.II ).
As mentioned in the other post, it doesn’t need to be particularly fancy or elaborate, it just needs to do what the Tascam does - i.e. L and R mic and line inputs, MIDI input and output, L and R audio output, phones output - but do it well.
Any suggestions please?
If your dead set on trying to find another one there are a couple used ones for sale on Reverb.com.
If you want to look at a new interface you could start here and then check the reviews.

What is the maximum amount you are willing to spend? That is a big factor when trying to make a suggestion.
Hi folks,
Thank you for your responses, and my apologies for the delay in replying. Someone actually pointed me at a reasonably-priced and ostensibly new unit identical to my existing one, which I purchased in the belief that it would solve the problem - which unfortunately it hasn’t. Since I now know to my cost that the sound card was never the issue, I’m going to start a new thread in the hope of addressing the problem from a different angle.
Thank you again.
