Good day,
I have two tracks in my project that use the same audio file sample for hi-hat. (one track is a duplicate of the other with some shifting of the events)
What I want is to use another hi-hat sample audio file for the duplicated track only.
I am aware I can drag and drop a sample while holding shift, but that changes the sample for ALL tracks using it.
This seems like a basic operation but I can’t seem to find an answer.

As far as I know, you should be asked, if you want to replace all, or the only one only. Check the Preferences > Editing > Audio > On Import Audio File. Set it to Open Options Dialog, please.

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately selecting “one only” will replace only the event I dragged the new audio file on. The other events in the track will remain the same.
Or maybe I’m doing something wrong:/ (I drag the new audio file while holding shift into the desired track)
