I’m having problems with the Hub being unresponsive, from time to time. This, in turn, causes other problems:
I can’t say why, but I get the feeling that the “News and Tutorials” section has something to do with it.
Is there any way of replacing the Hub with Project Assistant dialog, on startup? If I deactivate “Use Hub”, I get nothing, and I to manually go to File/New Project. I’d like to have the Project Assistant automatically open on startup, in place of the Hub.
If this is not possible, please, consider it a feature request.
Open the Cubase Application package and remove the hub component from its folder. It’s one of the first things I do after updating. From then on the Project Assistant will be the first dialog when you open Cubase (as long as you haven’t turned the hub off in preferences)
I disabled the hub in Cubase 8.5.15 (as described above), removed “hubservice.dll” from the “Components” folder (on my Win 7 system), but the Project Assistant does not load automatically when I start Cubase. Do I need to do something else?
I didn’t know that. Works great here on Mac.
Many thanks! This is amazing. The hub is so needless. I don’t understand why Steinberg can’t inform me when an update is available like every other company. Just via a pop-up window in the software itself.
I don’t want to bother to look at all the stuff in this hub thing…
Especially since the information usually doesn’t don’t show up in the Hub until after about a month of the update’s release. When everybody knows about it anyway. I’ve often wondered why we should bother register the software. Isn’t being informed about updates the main reason?
