Hi All. What would you recommend in order to simplify VST instrument inventory process? I have hundreds of projects, but have no record of what VST instruments were used in this project vs another. More specific scenario is, there is a third-party VST instrument that I use under monthly subscription. I’d like to get rid of this subscription, but I have to open hundreds of projects in order to find out if it was used there or not. Is there a tool that can analyse nuendo project files and see what VSTs are in use? Thank you!
Hi
Unfortuntately you will have to open each project…
In your activated project go to Menu/Studio/VST plugin manager. It will show all active instances of VST plugins of your project.
Down at the bottom click on ‘plugin report’ and save this in your project folder.
One big downside of subscription models too!!
Thank you!
I think there was somebody who created a little tool, that scans project files for VSTs used and will them display them to you.
If only I could remember how to find it. It might have been here or in the Cubase forum. Maybe you can run a few forum searches.
Maybe ‘Plugview?’ way back I think and dead in the water…
Edit: found it again…
Edit again:
on a PC and run as administrator it lists the plugins used in a N14 project just fine! Well whaddayaknow!
…it’s safe to run. (did a scan)
Perfect! Thank you so much!
