A useful tool that I dream is to be able to create an amplitude automation on each layer in order to control properly well the process of spectral components fusion between layers.
The only current way to cross between let’s say from a single component frequency on layer 1 to the same or even close frequency component on layer 2 without listening amplitude jumps or drops is to use the eraser tool to model both amplitudes or layer one and layer two to the contact or overlapping region to create a some kind of amplitude crossfade but it takes too much time and even it is not possible to get back and make small changes as we do with automation tracks.
