Can I request that ‘Filter’ in the edit menu is replaced by two options: Select Only and Deselect Only.
This might be not helpful at all but when you right click, you can choose this in the filter options.

I think I know what you mean now; you want to avoid this step and just pick one or the other…
Yep. Go straight to the thing I want. For the space of an extra line it would save a lot of looking and clicking.
