Request re: tuplets and accidentals

Daniel, I’d also really like to be able to use those key combinations for hiding and showing accidentals but I can’t get them to work. I’m probably editing the json file incorrectly, as I’m not sure where to paste the commands. What kind of text editor do I need?

I’m not too sure what you’re referring to, Vaughan, but the manual hack suggested by Daniel is now obsolete, as Dorico now features native key commands for the accidental visibility property. Search for them in Preferences > Key Commands.

My pianist/organist brain doesn’t much care for the Beethoven and rimsky examples. I can see the point to be made by the op however when you are dealing with triplets in particular, they often appear to be fingerings rather than tuplet indications which is risky. As a composer I sometimes put specific fingerings in tricky or particular situations and I would hate for someone to do selective editing because the notation isn’t clear.

Ah, missed that. Thank you!
