because I use all the time notes with ‘none’ as notehead (but with dots etc so we can’t hide) in long glissandos etc.
overwhelmingly, from imported xml files, so it’s impossible to do by hand…

Feel free to post examples publicly to the forum, they can be short excerpts of larger projects if you prefer.
Phrasing questions like “how can I do this in Dorico?” with examples of work in other software or from published music tends to lead to helpful discussions.
