It would be really, really helpful if Shift-right arrow increased the selection on the system track (and scrolled the active window to show the final selected bar).

Unfortunately at the moment it’s not possible to use the keyboard in conjunction with the system track at all. I wouldn’t rule this possibility out for the future, but it’s unlikely to be something we add imminently.
